Clothes shopping for me is usually strenuous and not enjoyable, but at My Tru Vine, I was met with so many beautiful clothing options and a personal stylist to help me choose the right fit. I was able to have two different sessions to find my dress, with different options at each, and at the second one, my stylist Aliyah grabbed a dress off the rack I wasn't quite sure about at first, but she encouraged me to try it on. I ended up taking that dress home as it fit perfectly and suited my features well! I was a little nervous going into my style appointment. Would it be worth my time? Would the dresses suit me? Would the fabrics and textures feel comfortable and wearable? I've walked out of so many stores feeling discouraged and empty-handed.
Those worries disappeared almost immediately. I discovered beautiful colors, tried on dresses I never would have chosen for myself, and loved seeing the photos. They were so much more flattering than the view from a mirror propped against a wall. Looking back through them, there's even one dress I'd love to try again. It's a bit too small right now, but I'm still making progress on my weight-loss journey.
The best part, though, was the encouragement. The entire experience was filled with fun, joy, and laughter. It filled my heart far more than it filled a gap in my wardrobe.
